Client Overview
Pippa Small is a renowned ethical jewelry brand known for its handcrafted designs and commitment to sustainable practices. As part of their digital expansion strategy, they planned to open a new store and required a scalable technology solution to handle large volumes of data. The brand relies on Boomi for its integration needs across various platforms, including NetSuite and Shopify.
Business Objective
With the launch of a new store on the horizon, Pippa Small needed a cost-effective and scalable integration solution that could efficiently process large amounts of data. Their existing setup on Boomi’s Public Cloud was no longer sufficient to meet growing data requirements, particularly during peak periods such as store launches and platform-syncing activities.
Challenges Faced by Pippa Small
Pippa Small faced numerous technical limitations and operational challenges, which resulted in failed data transfers, process disruption, and potential delays in launching a new store:
- Due to Boomi Public Cloud data transfer limitations, the existing setup struggled to manage bulk operations.
- All existing Boomi licenses were fully utilized across integration with other platforms; adding a new connector required investment in additional licenses.
- The current setup lacked the flexibility and throughput required to support increased data traffic.
How NeosAlpha Helped?
As a Boomi Gold Partner, we offered a cost-effective solution to manage the increasing data usage:
1. Reconfiguration of Integration Processes
To address the limitations related to the Shopify connector, we replaced it with Boomi’s HTTP connector to initiate direct API calls to Shopify. As a Boomi Partner, we offered a cost-effective solution to free up licenses and reduce dependency on additional connector licenses. This included:
- Updating all 7 deployed Boomi processes, including child processes.
- Reconfiguring mappings to align with Shopify’s API request and response formats.
- Performing unit testing in both test and production environments to ensure stability.
2. Migration and Hosting on On-Premise Atom
To permanently resolve the challenge of public cloud limitations, we migrated all 7 integration processes to NeosAlpha on-premise Atom on AWS infrastructure. To ensure seamless communication with external systems post-migration, we conducted connectivity and performance testing. The new setup offered high storage capacity and operational reliability, aligned with Pippa Small’s long-term scaling plans.
3. Ongoing Boomi Managed Services
After successful hosting and migration, we offered our Boomi managed services and 24*7 support to ensure continuous optimization, quick issue resolution, and streamlined operations across all integrations.
