Transforming Traffic Management through Boomi Integrations was the primary goal of one of the leading traffic management companies in the UK, Contraflow Ltd. They deliver solutions to customers, supported by a continuous commitment to safety and the overriding factors in day-to-day project management provision of traffic management services. They have carried out various traffic management solutions for industry sectors -from small lane closures to facilitating construction site access to major road construction schemes.
In addition to supplying a fully catered and bespoke traffic management solution, they also offer a range of equipment under the client’s direction – including concrete safety barriers, fencing, road signs and cones.
To expand their business and broaden their user base, they entrusted us with seamlessly integrating their data across three platforms: Netsuite, MyMobile Workers, and Sharepoint. By accomplishing this data synchronization, their users can now effortlessly access real-time information, complete with all the necessary details, thereby enhancing the overall user experience and efficiency of their operations.
Technology Challenge
Upon recognising the imperative need for an enterprise-grade iPaaS (Integration Platform as a Service) to accommodate their future expansion plans, our client encountered a significant challenge in selecting the most suitable iPaaS solution for their business. A critical requirement was the ability to dynamically generate SharePoint sites to store Opportunity and Job level reports. Despite several unsuccessful attempts with widely recognised iPaaS platforms, our client sought our expertise for a solution.
The site must be dynamic, created without manual effort, and accessible immediately after a Job is created in the Oracle NetSuite. Whenever field engineers generate job completion reports and status reports, they must be retrieved and uploaded to the respective Job’s Sharepoint Site. Moreover, the folder structure must be customized and changeable without a code change.

After understanding the client’s requirements, our Boomi consultants saw the need to carry out a quick proof of concept to prove that Boomi, as an iPaaS platform, can automate the creation of Microsoft Sharepoint Site and integrate NetSuite and Sharepoint using the standard connectors.
We demonstrated the Boomi Proof-of-Concept (PoC) use case to the client which gave them the confidence to select Boomi as their enterprise solution for integrations. Our PoC proved the following,
- Oracle NetSuite - Microsoft Sharepoint integration using out-of-the-box connectors
- Creating a site with a pre-defined, configurable folder structure
- Dynamic template-based site designs that can be applied to create Sharepoint sites
The results of the proof of concept gave immense confidence to our client in selecting the Boomi platform as their preferred integration platform.
Our integration engineers continued the design and development of Boomi integration processes that would seamlessly integrate Microsoft Sharepoint, MyMobile Workers and the Oracle NetSuite.
